Vitrification test of resin and other materials

For amorphous polymers, the process of polymers changing from an elastic state to a glassy state by cooling, or from a glassy state to an elastic state by heating is called glass transition, and the temperature at which the glass transition occurs is called glass transition temperature. For crystalline polymers, the glass transition refers to the transition from an elastic state to a glassy state (or vice versa) in the amorphous part. Therefore, the glass transition is a common phenomenon in polymers. However, the glass transition phenomenon is not limited to polymers, and some small molecule compounds also have glass transition.
