This instrument tests the dissolving-out amount of test sample soaked in specified liquid. Applicable to tableware, food container, packaging film, cap sealing rubber pad, painted coating for inner wall of cans, plant fiber container and so on made from polyethylene, polystyrene, polypropylene, perchloroethylene resin, epoxy novolac etc.; also applicable to some chemical reagents.

Working Principle
After test sample soaked in specified liquid, hold an amount of the liquid in evaporating dish, evaporate and dry the dish in high temperature, then weigh the dish; then dry again, and weigh again, repeat this process until the weight is constant; calculate Evaporated Residues according to the measured weight minus the weight of evaporating dish itself. Unit is mg/L (for soaking liquid) or % (for chemical reagent).
